The Nascar Sprint Cup Series returns from the left coast to make it's first of two stops at New Hampshire International Speedway.  For the second week in a row, Australian Marcos Ambrose will be behind the wheel of the Wood Brothers #21 Motorcraft Ford Fusion.  Marcos hopes to follow up his solid debut at Infineon with another strong run.

Speaking of strong runs, Yate Racing's David Gilliland heads to New Hampshire off a career best 2nd place finish last weekend.  Teammate Travis Kvapil is excited about Loudon and new sponsor Ford Drive One.

Greg Biffle may not have a win yet this season, but the Biff feels he's about to break out with a streak of W's.

Bobby Hamilton, Jr. is set for New Hampshire and looks forward to it with a win and four top 10's in his previous six Nationwide starts there.

The trucks get to run in Memphis, where Keven Wood will get his second consecutive start in the the #21 Ford F-150 while Raybestos Rookie of the Year points leader Colin Braun hopes to put a bad night in Milwaukee in his rear view mirror.

6-18-2008

It's off to Infineon Raceway in northern California this weekend for the Nascar Sprint Cup Series and that means the road racing specialists will be out in force.  This time though, a Nationwide Series regular, Marcos Ambrose could be the ringer as he drives the #21 car for Wood Brothers Racing.  David Ragan, who is barely out of the top 12 in points will do his second tour of duty on the road course of Infineon and he'll also be doing the double in the Nationwide Series all the way across country in Milwaukee as will Ambrose.

Speaking of doubles, Erik Darnell, who won the thriller last weekend in the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series at Michigan, will run both the trucks and the Nationwide Series race on the Milwaukee Mile as will Roush-Fenway Racing teammate Colin Braun.  Wiley veteran Rick Crawford is looking for another solid weekend and a chance to move from his 5th spot in the points.

Last weekend, Alison MacLeod took her first ever USAC regional midget victory by having her #4 Ford Racing/Beast Midget out in front for all 50 laps at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Illinois.

And at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, Andrew Caddell will try and go three for three in poles and wins in the inaugural Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup in his #9 TC Motorsports Ford Mustang FR500S.

The Nascar Sprint Cup, Craftsman Truck Series and the ARCA Re/Max Series invade Michigan International Speedway this weekend.  ARCA rookie and Roush-Fenway driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. comes into the weekend atop the series point standings.  Saturday's truck race will see Eric Darnell try to climb up the points while rookie Colin Braun hopes to put the #6 Con-way Freight Ford F-150 in victory lane for a second straight season.  The Sprint Cup race on Sunday hopefully will bring Ford a win in the virtual shadow of Detroit.  Greg Biffle hopes to uphold the honor of the Blue Oval while David Gilliland looks to keep improving in his Yates Racing Ford Fusion.  Defending Nationwide Series champion Carl Edwards finds himself shuttling between MIS and Kentucky Speedway this weekend.  Oh, and car owner Jack Roush will thrill MIS fans on Saturday as he'll do the pre-race flyover in his P-51 Mustang.

The Nascar Sprint Cup Series makes its first of two stops at quirky Pocono Raceway.   Cup drivers Carl Edwards and David Gilland talk about their test there.  Greg Biffle and Edwards give their insight into their seasons to date.  The Nationwide Series runs the concrete at Nashville Superspeedway and for Bobby Hamilton, Jr, that means he sleeps in his own bed.  The NCTS is in the Lone Star state and that's fine with Raybestos Rookie of the Year points leader Colin Braun who is a state native.  Roush developmental driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. looks to continue his stock car learning curve as the ARCA Re/Max Series is in Pocono.

Last weekend was an emotional one for Funny Car champion John Force as he claimed his first victory since an almost career-ending accident at Texas last season.  And the Grand-Am Rolex Series is ready to take on the Glen.

The NHRA is back in action in Topeka where Old Spice Ford Mustang Funny Car rookie driver Mike Neff goes for a third consecutive finals appearance and his first career win.  Team owner John Force talks about the new Boss 500 Ford engine that is powering Neff in the standings.

5-21-2008

It's the longest race of the Sprint Cup season this weekend with the running of the Coca Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway.  Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, and David Ragan think track position will be key after running in last weekend's Sprint Cup All Star race.

Kenseth feels his team may have turned a corner in their bad season and so does Roush-Fenway teammate Jamie McMurray.  David Ragan is making a case as the most improved driver of the year after getting into the top 12 in driver points.

After stepping out of the 21 car voluntarily in March, Jon Wood is back in the seat this weekend for the 600.  Cousin Keven Wood makes his 2008 Nascar Craftsman Truck Series debut at Mansfield.

Mike Neff is showing off the new Boss 500 Funny Car engine with back-t0-back NHRA Funny Car finals.

And after a 4 month break, the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series is back in action at Lime Rock, Connecticut.

5-7-2008

It's one down and one to go for Roush-Fenway Racing as Carl Edwards signs a new deal to stay with the team and Greg Biffle says his intent is to do the same.  It's The Lady in Black this weekend and she's wearing a new dress after being repaved.  Greg Biffle talks about what he expects after tire testing there for Goodyear.  David Ragan, Travis Kvapil, and David Gilliland also give their opinions on the subject.  Nationwide driver Marcos Ambrose looks to Darlington and wonders how the repave job will affect that series machines.
