It's the final chance for David Ragan to make it into the top 12 in points and qualify for his first ever Chase for the Championship. Greg Biffle just needs to start the race at Richmond Saturday night to get in, while teammate Matt Kenseth needs a finish of 26th or better. Carl Edwards is in the Chase and will go out for a seventh win of the season.
Two races remain before the Chase for the Championship gets underway in the Nascar Sprint Cup Series. Carl Edwards locked up his spot with a second consecutive win last weekend at Bristol and returns to a track this weekend in California that he won at back in February. Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth are closing in on clinching spots for themselves in the Chase while Roush-Fenway teammate David Ragan is barely on the outside looking in.

It's the biggest weekend in drag racing as the NHRA Powerade Series invades Indianapolis for the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. John Force Racing locked all four of their cars into the Countdown to the Championship last time out and can go for broke this weekend. The team also has three that will run in the $100,000 U.S. Smokeless Showdown. Robert Hight, Ashley Force, rookie Mike Neff, and team owner/driver John Force are all ready for a drive to a championship after a tragic 2007.

Both the Grand Am Rolex and Koni Challenge Series pay a first time ever visit to New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J. Memo Gidley, co-driver of the #77 Ford Dallara Prototype will try for their first podium finish of the year. Ray Mason will be in the Koni challenge in his #52 Ford Mustang FR500C and hopes to figure out the new track quickly to move up in points.
All three of Nascar's top series are in Bristol, Tennessee this week to take on the wildest, most fan-packed half mile race track in the world.

Carl Edwards looks to keep his momentum going from winning last weekend at Michigan while teammates Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, and David Ragan are trying to solidify a spot in the Chase for the Championship. David Gilliland gets his chance to race the Drive One Ford this weekend, while Yates Racing teammate Travis Kvapil goes Hollywood with Knight Rider.

Marcos Ambrose will give Bristol a go as his #59 Kingsford Ford Fusion holds onto the 10th spot in the Nationwide Series.

Out at Infineon Raceway, the #61 Aim Motorsports duo of Brian Friselle and Mark Wilkins shoot for a third consecutive victory in the Grand-am Rolex Series in their Daytona Prototype Ford-Riley.
It's down to four races to go to qualify for the Sprint Cup Chase for the Championship as both the Nascar Sprint Cup and Nationwide series pay their second visit of the season to Michigan International Speedway. Carl Edwards looks like a lock, but Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, and even David Ragan have very little room for error the rest of the way. Jack Roush is thinking four cars into the Chase as his team takes on a track where his cars have seen victory lane 10 times in Sprint Cup action.

And Marcos Ambrose gets to do the double again at MIS and build upon a great weekend he had last Saturday and Sunday at Watkins Glen.
The Nascar Sprint Cup Series is at Watkins Glen. After watching last Saturday's Nationwide race in the rain at Montreal, many wonder if Nascar might ever run a Sprint Cup Series event on rain tires. Owner Jack Roush weighs in.

Carl Edwards is excited to be road racing especially with a win last weekend at Pocono and a second the week before at Indy. His Roush-Fenway teammate Matt Kenseth is trying to climb back into the Chase for the Championship with five races remaning before the cutoff.

Yates Racing's David Gilliland is once again looking for a sponsor for the #38 Ford Fusion but feels his team is getting the performance that should attract some dollars.

Nationwide regular Marcos Ambrose is trying to put the disappointment of not winning at Montreal last weekend behind him and focus on both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup races at the Glen.

The Nascar Craftsman Truck Series tackles the concrete at Nashville Superspeedway. Erik Darnell is looking to continue his run of top five finishes while Colin Braun, with a new 2009 contract in hand, hopes to solidify his spot as the leader of the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings.

The Grand Am Rolex Series is also at Watkins Glen, and the 61 AIM Motorsport Team will try and top last weekend's last 300 yards victory at Montreal. The Grand Am Koni Challenge meanwhile is on the road course at Iowa Speedway.

And NHRA Funny Car rookie Bob Tasca III is looking to make a charge to get into the top ten in points with three races to go before the Countdown to One begins.

Yates Racing (Robert Yates Racing then) has two victories at the Brickyard. David Gilliland and Travis Kvapil are hoping to add a third victory to that total on Sunday.
It's the longest race of the Sprint Cup season this weekend with the running of the Coca Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway. Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, and David Ragan think track position will be key after running in last weekend's Sprint Cup All Star race.

Kenseth feels his team may have turned a corner in their bad season and so does Roush-Fenway teammate Jamie McMurray. David Ragan is making a case as the most improved driver of the year after getting into the top 12 in driver points.

After stepping out of the 21 car voluntarily in March, Jon Wood is back in the seat this weekend for the 600. Cousin Keven Wood makes his 2008 Nascar Craftsman Truck Series debut at Mansfield.
